Business Development Manager (BDM)

The Business Development Manager (BDM) acts as the first point of contact a new potential client will have with a business when they are seeking information on the products and services the company provides. The BDM also responds to RFP's, tenders, and develops sales in new sales territories.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales or marketing experience developing business opportunities preferably in IT industry.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree / Master’s (preferred) in Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
  • Understanding of contract model and commercial terms.
  • Ability to travel (<25%)
  • Must be available to join from July 1st week of 2020

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • In-depth technical expertise and credibility with technologies such as computer networking, SDN, SD-WAN, Cloud orchestration tools, server, storage & network virtualization, data center operations, and WAN virtualization.
  • IP routing and/or MPLS background desirable
  • Strong experience working with virtual teams across functions and geographies
  • Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to focus on client needs with a commitment to quality and customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems through recommending and implementing creative solutions.
  • Ability to demonstrate business acumen and market insight.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to utilize Customer Relationship Management Systems and/or related tools.
  • Knowledge of current sales trends, best practices and methodologies within the staffing and workforce solutions industries.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Essential functions

As a Business Development Manager, you will be charged with:

  • Developing, growing, and nurturing client relationships: You will be marketing our services via telephone and video or in-person meetings with new and existing clients to expand the utilization of our services while providing an outstanding customer experience.
  • Primarily, you would be charged with growing our local contract and project business but have the flexibility to develop business world-wide steadily.
  • You will identify and discuss project initiatives with clients, ensure clients’ expectations are met and match consultants’ skill sets with client engagement requirements, presenting highly skilled consultants to the client.
  • Will be extensively involved in outside trade associations and various networking activities both inside and outside or normal business hours to promote services and brand awareness in the marketplace.
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
  • We are hiring a Business Development Manager to take over a mix of existing accounts and new sales territory.
  • To excel in this role, you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and inbound warm leads.
